Reaching Thiruvarur

By Train

  • From Bhagat Ki Koth (BGKT) to Thiruvarur (TVR): Bhagat Ki Koth - Jaipur - Bhopal - Nagpur - Vijayawada - Chennai - Thiruvarur - Mannarguddi)



  • From Vijayawada(BZA) to Thiruvarur (TVR)



  • From Chennai to Thiruvarur (MS to TVR). These are the best options.
    • 16185 - Velankannai express : All days - 23:15 (IST)
    • 16175 - Karaikal express: All days - 23:18 (IST)
    • 16863 - BGKT MQ express: only on saturddays - 10:10 (IST)
    • 11017 - LTT Karaikal express: only on sundays - 11:10 (IST)

  • From Chennai egmore (MS) to Kumbakonam (KMU) by train and then Kumbakonam to Thiruvarur by local bus. Government buses are available near the Kumbakonam railway station and You have to travel about 42 Kms to reach thiruvarur and takes about 90 minutes



  • From Chennai egmore (MS) to Mayiladuturai (MV) by train and then Mayiladuturai to Thiruvarur by local bus. Government buses are available near the mayiladurai railway station and You have to travel about 41 Kms to reach thiruvarur and takes about 90 minutes.



  • From Mysore(MYS) to Mailaduturai. (Mysuru - Bengaluru - Salem - Erode - Kumbakonam - Mayiladuturai)



  • From Ernakulam Jn(ERS) to Thiruvarur (TVR). (Ernakulam Jn - Pallakkad Jn - Coimbatore - Erode - Tiruchirapali - Thiruvarur)



  • From Coimbatore (CBE) to Thanjavur (TJ) by train and then Thanjavur to Thiruvarur by local bus. Government buses are available near the mayiladurai railway station and You have to travel about 41 Kms to reach thiruvarur and takes about 90 minutes.
